Celiac Disease Natural Remedies

Celiac Disease Natural Remedies

Celiac disease comes with symptoms of chronic gas, bloating, indigestion, later immune deficiency, and finally neurological issues. Celiac is seen intestinally as damaged and flattened villi. The culprit seems to be gluten. The diet for celiac is so strict that as little as ten milligrams of gluten affects most sufferers. Celiac disease can also cause migraines and emotional problems. Treatment for celiac disease comes first through a diet eliminating gluten. Steroids may also be prescribed for celiac patients temporarily (hopefully).

Paul Bergner describes celiac disease best as a food allergy, not just gluten intolerance, where digestion, nerves, and connective tissues are all affected.

One never outgrows a food allergy. Most people have food allergies to dairy, wheat or eggs, and other foods. You must totally stop a food for 40 days and then retest. The intestinal system can rebuild almost completely; I have seen homeopathics restore balance completely through clients’ reports about how they have overcome a wheat allergy by using Carcinosin homeopathic (generally it is their constitutional remedy). But, you must be careful to avoid the offending food.

Celiac is also seen to contribute to leaky gut syndrome and can be treated naturally. Part of celiac problems may be Vitamin D deficiency which is important to the matrix of connective tissue health of the intestines.

Diet for Celiac Disease

In your diet for celiac, It is critical to remove NSAIDS (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) because they cause leaky gut syndrome and destroy the integrity of the mucosal wall in the intestine. Avoid your food intolerance. Improve digestion by eating a more natural diet, avoiding tobacco, alcohol, coffee, black tea, fast foods, processed foods. Heal the leaky gut by using Vitamin D and herbs such as plantain and calendula to heal the lining of the intestines.

Natural Remedies for Celiac Disease include:

Vitamin D— (5000IU per day) is essential to maintain intestinal integrity.

Acidophilus (50 billion CFUs per day) will help maintain beneficial intestinal flora.

Herbs for Celiac Disease

Herbs are plants valued for their specific strengthening/ tonifying properties.

Use a combination of the following herbs for celiac in capsule or powder for maximum benefit, and adjust as your condition improves. Therapeutic dose is equal to one capsule of each herb 3 times a day or 1 liquid dropper full of an herbal tincture 3 times a day.

Chamomile is a mild bitter which helps improve digestion.

Marshmallow root is an herb for celiac to calm mucus membranes of the gastro-intestinal tract.

Aloe vera juice helps celiac by calming and soothing mucus membranes of the gastrointestinal tract.

Licorice root in small quantities acts like a steroid to calm and soothe the mucus membranes without side effects or toxicity.

Plantain or calendula can help seal leaky gut and repair the gastro intestinal system.

Astragalus is an herb for celiac used to improve the immune system.

To make a cell salt solution, put up to 10 tablets of each cell salt in a 16- to 24-ounce bottle; fill with water and swirl to dissolve tablets. Sip throughout the day.
